Spring Break in Jamaica: Plan Your Trip Today

Author: Melissa Aldridge

If you are like millions of other American college students, you look forward to spring break. So far, your year at college has been filled with classes, stressful homework assignments, and grueling tests. If you want to get away, let lose, and have fun on your upcoming spring break, you should choose your destination wisely. There are hundreds of popular spring break destinations, many of which are right in or near the United States. One you should closely examine is the island of Jamaica, located in the Caribbean.

Right about now, you may be asking yourself, what makes Jamaica the perfect spring break destination? For starters, there is the weather. As previously stated, Jamaica is located in the Caribbean. This area is known for its beautiful tropical weather. On average, temperatures range in the mid to upper 70s and 80 plus degrees is common in the summer. Jamaica does have a rainy season, but when that rain arrives it is nothing like what most Americans experience at home. It is all but guaranteed that you will get beautiful weather when on a Jamaica spring break vacation.

Next, there are the beautiful beaches. Jamaica beaches are some of the best in the world. You get warm and clear waters with white sandy beaches. What more could you ask for? These beaches are literally picture perfect. The greatest benefit of gaining access to Jamaica beaches is the related activities. Whether you want to jump in the water and enjoy a swim or spend your day lounging by the shoreline you can do so in style. In addition, popular beach activities include scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing, and waterskiing.

Most importantly, there are all-inclusive resorts. All-inclusive resorts in Jamaica come highly rated and recommended. This is due to their inclusions. When staying at an inclusive resort, the total cost of your stay includes your room, food, drinks, tips, qualifying airport transfers, and some forms of onsite entertainment. For example, if your beachfront resort includes the cost of snorkeling gear, you don't have to pay extra to rent elsewhere. Many spring break travelers who purchase all-inclusive travel packages find themselves saving money in the end. The more inclusions you use, the more money you save.

In keeping with all-inclusive resorts, they simplify the process of planning a trip. In addition to your food, drinks, tips, airport transfers, onsite entertainment, and room, airfare can be included too. Essentially, one travel plan books most of your trip. You are a college student. You have a busy life. Whether it be taking classes, studying for tests, volunteering on campus, working a part-time job, or socializing with friends, you don't have days or weeks to plan a Jamaica vacation. Luckily, you don't have to when you opt for an all-inclusive travel package and an all-inclusive Jamaica resort.

As for choosing your resort, you have many options. There are many all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica. What resort should you choose? There are themed resorts. Since you are in college, age restrictions should not be a problem. This basically gives you the freedom to stay at any resort on the island; however, you may want to avoid family resorts. These are resorts with scheduled activities for young children, onsite playgrounds, and well-advertised childcare services. Part of the fun on spring break is letting lose, having a good time, flirting with strangers, and drinking. You don't want to do this with a family of four looking over your shoulder the entire time. Adult only resorts, those that prohibit children under the age of 14, 16, or 18, are advised for your type of Caribbean vacation; spring break.

Finally, the biggest reason why your spring break trip should be a Jamaica Caribbean vacation is the scheduled events. Jamaica is a popular spring break destination. In these popular destinations, you find many scheduled events that are catered to college students just like yourself. Two popular bars and restaurants that are well-known for their spring break events include Margaritaville and Risky Business. Risky Business is located in the resort community of Negril and Margaritaville has locations in Negril, Ocho Rios, and Montego Bay.

Jazz In Paris: Swing From Paris

I Love Touring Paris - The Nineteenth Arrondissement

Author: Levi Reiss
The 19th arrondissement of northeastern Paris sits on the Right Bank of the Seine River. Its land area is approximately 2.6 square miles (slightly more than six and three quarters square kilometers). The population is about one hundred seventy thousand and the district is home to approximately seventy thousand jobs and two canals, the Canal Saint-Denis and the Canal de l'Ourcq. This district is fairly residential and is not visited by loads of tourists. In other words, by spending some time there you may get an idea of the real Paris; one that tends to be less expensive than the touristy arrondissements. The Parc des Buttes Chaumont built over a gypsum quarry and execution ground was designed for the famous Baron Haussmann, the guy who really redid Paris well over a century ago. It is one of the largest parks in Paris and contains many lovely features including English and Chinese gardens, a waterfall, and several cliffs and bridges. A major highlight is the Corinthian style Temple of Sybil that stands almost three hundred feet (about ninety meters) high. This park is one of the few in Paris where you are allowed to picnic on the grass. It has been called the most romantic park in Paris, one of the world's most romantic cities. What could be less romantic than a slaughterhouse? To say that Villette was a slaughterhouse is like saying the Empire State Building is a skyscraper. The original complex was built shortly after the American Civil War. It was large enough and busy enough to employ over three thousand people. But over time Villette became outdated. The new slaughterhouse, already obsolete when rebuilt in 1967, measured an astounding 900 feet long and 150 feet high (about 300 meters long and 50 meters high). Instead of tearing down the building and adding to the scandal those in power launched an international competition to design the Parc de la Villette. The Parc de la Villette is Paris's largest park. It englobes some 135 acres (55 hectares). It is the largest Parisian greenspace after the famous Pere Lachaise cemetery in the neighboring twentieth district. Of course we can't forget the huge forest parks, the Bois de Vincennes in the southeast and the Bois de Boulogne in the west both of which are huge in comparison. The "Prairies" are vast open spaces with an excellent view of the Canal de l'Ourcq that adds to its charm. The Prairie du Triangle near the park's center hosts regular free open-air movie screenings during the summer. Parc de la Villette has gardens unlike anywhere else. For example, the beautiful Jardin des Miroirs (Mirror Garden) is surrounded by 28 mirrors. The Jardin des Brouillards (Garden of the Fogs) is misty from all the rainbow-colored droplets generated by a multitude of fountains. A favorite, especially among the little ones, is the Jardin du Dragon (Dragon Garden) with a giant you know what that is about 250 feet (80 meters) long. And its tongue is a giant slide. Altogether there are ten thematic gardens linked by a winding blue path designed to look like a film strip. The bigger kids will prefer the six thousand seat Zenith concert hall which is devoted to rock music, political gatherings, and other noisy events. The Grand Hall of Villette has now been transformed into a cultural center and performance hall. Its showpiece is the Cite des Sciences et de l'Industrie (City of Science and Industry), the biggest science museum in Europe. It's also the most expensive costing an estimated $642 million back in 1986. This masterwork attracts five million visitors a year. This museum was specifically designed to be hands on, educational, and fun. There is a planetarium, an IMAX theater, and a lot more. The Cite des Enfants (Kiddies Corner) has exhibitions specially designed for 3 to 12 year olds. For a change of pace visit the Cite de la Musique that's more of a concert hall than a museum. It includes the French national collection of musical instruments that you can hear in action. If you really want to get into the swing of things the world-famous Conservatoire national superieur de musique et de danse de Paris (Music and Dance Conservatory) has been relocated and faces Parc Villette. Conservatory tuition fees are quite modest and student meals are subsidized. However, there is the minor matter of a performance-based entrance exam. Of course you don't want to be in Paris without sampling fine French wine and food. Here is a sample menu: Start with Rillions (Big chunks of Pork cooked in Pork Fat). For your second course savor Becasse fouree au Foie Gras (Woodcock stuffed with Foie Gras). And as dessert indulge yourself with Tarte Tatin (Upside down Apple Tart). Your Parisian sommelier (wine steward) will gladly suggest appropriate wines to accompany each course. By the way, in part because of its proximity, Parisians tend to drink a lot of wine from the Loire Valley.

How to Choose Your Next Tropical Destination

Author: Matthew Kepnes

There are a lot of tropical destinations in the world but how do you know what island is best for your holiday? What if you want to set off to a hushed romantic tropical resort and end up on a youthful party island? What if your island doesn't have as a lot of scuba diving as you want or the prices were more than you wanted to pay? How do you locate where the best information is? What do you look for in choosing the best tropical destination for you? Often many people don't know where to start. Research from guidebooks can help but that is time consuming. Here are some tips that can help you make the process of choosing your tropical holiday easier and quicker:

For starters, pick what type of island holiday you. Do you want an active island vacation, great diving, a luxurious island resort, a off the beaten path island or will just any island do for you? Pick one thing that is a deal breaker for you so if you get jammed between two destinations, you use that one thing as the deciding factor.

Next, decide where on the planet you want to visit. Do you want your tropical holiday to be close to home or far away? Remember, the further away you travel, the more expensive the holiday will be. Even if the island is inexpensive, traveling there might not be.

Next, decide how much your budget will be. Some might choose this as the number one thing you should do but you can't decide how much you need to set aside or spend if you haven't decided where you are going yet. A semi-expensive tropical island close to home will need less money than an inexpensive active island far away. You'll need more money if you are flying to Bali from New York than you would if you were flying to Bermuda, even though Bali is a cheaper island.

Get some island names. Now that you know where in the world you want to go for your vacation, what you want to do there, and how much you want to spend, get a list of islands in that area to research. Draw up a list of five, otherwise the list becomes too long because there's so many islands in the world. Get a healthy mix of popular island destinations and off the beaten path islands.

Research your tropical islands. What is the food like? What is the diving like? How much does it cost? Who goes there? Is it easy to get too? Does it have what you want? Head to the store for a guidebook or do some online research at websites like best tropical islands.

Make a final decision. Now that you have narrowed your list down, make a decision. This is the hardest part, huh? All of those islands look good. Can't we just go to them all? Sadly,no. We have to choose one. If you are having trouble picking one, use the deal breaker we discussed in step one to decide. All things being equal, this deal breaker should be the deciding factor. That way you stay focused and don't over think your decision. By staying focused, you can go with your gut and make the decision much less painful and avoid second guessing.

So now you have picked your tropical island, go start booking flights and hotels. If you follow these guidelines, you can help get to your perfect island getaway quicker by spending less time deciding where to go and more time at the location. Once there, you know that island will be exactly what you want and will never have to say "It was good but..." as no one wants to say that! So enjoy your tropical destination and have a fruity drink for us!

Top Five Exotic Honeymoons in Cuba

Author: Emma Lelliott

Cuban honeymoons provide plenty for newlyweds to see, do and take part in, including great beaches and interesting sight seeing opportunities. However, the island also offers less obvious and much more exotic thrills for those who want them. We count down the top five honeymoons in Cuba to whet your appetite and give couples a few ideas they might not have thought of for that truly memorable honeymoon...

Cuba: The Trip Back: An Exile''s Journey Through Today''s Cuba

5. Diving Honeymoons

Cuba and the Caribbean have some of the best diving in the world. The clear waters, amazing diversity of sea life and huge range of corals and rock outcrops to explore make it ideal for normal or scuba diving. Honeymoons around Cuba on scuba diving trips are incredible, as they let you experience the wonderful diversity and beauty of the ocean floor with the one you love.

4. Following in Castro's footsteps

For history buffs and those who like walking holidays, why not spend your Cuban honeymoon following in the footsteps of Cuba's most famous revolutionaries? You can follow the trail of Fidel Castro's revolutionary guerrillas from the playa Las Coloradas, into central Cuba and beyond. Walking tours can be organised and you can get a real feel of the adventure and hardship of the freedom fighters on your way through the island's interior. You can also visit the many monuments and statues to the fighters along the way and in your final stop in the capital of Havana.

3. Cigars, Coffee and Rum

Cuba is synonymous with cigars, coffee and rum, and any trip to the island should include trying some if not all of these to give you a real taste of the island itself. However, you can take it one step further and spend part or your entire honeymoon in Cuba touring the plantations, factories and distilleries of the island, sampling the best brands and the most luxurious hand made verities. Sitting with your loved one sipping the best the island has to offer, or indulging in that luxurious vice of cigar smoking together is enchanting while watching the sun set over the Caribbean.

2. Swimming with dolphins

Swimming with dolphins has routinely been chosen as one of the top experiences to have before you die, and when better to do it than when on your honeymoon? Cuba waters and the surrounding Caribbean are teaming with these friendly mammals, and tours, excursions and swims are organised to give you the best experiences possible while causing no harm or anxiety to the dolphins themselves. A magical moment to have together while on honeymoon in Cuba.

1. Salsa

The passionate island moves to its own unique rhythm, and you and your partner can get swept up on it on a salsa honeymoon in Cuba. There are lessons available for the uninitiated and dances and dance halls ready for those with a real love of salsa. It's a perfect way to spend your honeymoon in Cuba, as the dance is all about fire, joy and passion, and will start your marriage as you mean to go on...

Wanna Party In Phuket?

Author: Culture And Customs Of Thailand
href="http://www.articlesbase.com/authors/bruce-badger/120645.htm">Bruce Badger

Ah Phuket. The jewel in Thailand’s crown, the playground of the rich and famous, the perfect island retreat with so many beaches to choose from. Nobody could deny Phuket’s charms, but when it comes to nightlife, if you don’t know where to go, you’ll probably end up listening to renditions of the Macarena all night long. If that’s your thing then great, but if you need something a bit more special in a night out, here’s where to look.

For true clubbers

Club Lime has been creating a bit of a stir in Phuket. Located on the beach road as part of the Club Andaman Resort, Club Lime features heavy doses of house music served up by the resident DJs. The venue doubles as a restaurant, so you can grab dinner in the evening and sit back and relax until the night rolls in.

The intoxicating range of cocktails are seductive and a snatch at about 200 baht each. During the week there are tribal, drum ‘b’ bass and electro nights on rotation. The venue also feature a killer soundsystem and one of the most illuminated backbars on the island. Previous guests DJs include DJ Nakadia and Thai superstar “Jay” Montonn Jira. Check it out. Visit www.clublime.info for more information.

For the rockers

If you’re into classic hair rock, there is only one place to be: Rock City. Again, on the beach road in Patong, located next to Club Lime, Rock City features live bands every night playing the best of Bon Jovi, Van Halen and Queen. It’s classic rock at its best and every night it’s packed. The highlight of the roster is definitely the Metallica tribute band.

Although you won’t hear any original material, you’ll be sure to have a blast. The drinks are reasonably priced at about 200 baht each, and you might even hear a couple of Thai rock songs during your stay. Rock City is a fun night out and a favorite with both locals and travelers.

Visit the website at www.rockcity.cc

For late-night dancing

Baya Beach, to be found in Patong at the end of Soi Bangla opposite the beach, is where islanders and those in the know go to party after the regular clubs close their doors. The venue gets busy, but the music is funky, ranging from straight-up hip hop to tougher house and electro music. There aren’t many other places around that stay open as late as Baya Beach.

For local flavor

If you want to do it like the locals, there are two great places to check out in Phuket City. The first is Timberhut, located on Yaowarat Rd, where you’ll find local bands and DJs entertaining throngs of locals. A word of warning though: it gets very busy at weekends.

Another great venue is Blue Marina, located in the basement of the Phuket Merlin Hotel on Yaowarat Rd. Few travelers make it to Blue Marina, but it’s a treat. Get there early, find yourself a table, buy a bottle of your favorite spirit and relax until the bands come on. Then it’s time to get up and dance around your table to Thai rock songs. It’s great fun. When the bands have finished, you’ll be treated to an assortment of hip hop, rock and curious pop songs courtesy of the resident DJ.

For something a bit more refined

Although it sounds like some kind of Aussie pub, Skipper’s Sports Bar and Restaurant is one of the most stylish places to chill at in Phuket. Located at Royal Phuket Marina, the food here is top notch, with a variety of Eastern and Western dishes on the menu. As the name suggests, you can also catch all the latest sports action on the widescreen TVs. The venue is ideal, with the outdoor area looking out over the lagoon to the large boats and the water. When the sky is clear and the stars are out, Skipper’s can be quite the romantic venue.

Visit www.skippersphuket.com for information.

Best for jazz

Ratri Jazztaurant is one for all you jazz buffs out there. The venue doubles as a restaurant and live music venue, with spectacular views across the sea and Kata Beach. This place has it all. Amazing sunsets, delectable food, great music from Manolo and his band, and potent cocktails.

The venue is located on Kata Hill and makes for a refreshing change from standard nightlife practices. The open-air element of the venue is its best feature as it really utilizes the location. For further information visit www.ratrijazztaurant.com

As you can see, Phuket’s nightlife has something for everyone. Sometimes you have to just look a little bit beyond the well-trodden path to find it.

Summerside, Prince Edward Island - a Place to Retire

Author: Arvind

In considering a retirement venue some will wish to stay in the area they have spent their working life and thereby stay closer to friends, family and the life and services that they have become accustom to. For the more adventurous, who may not have family in the area that they are residing, or who just want to make a change, Summerside provides many of the lifestyle factors that are important to retirees.

Summerside is a small town of approximately 14-15,000, boasts 2 shopping malls, a brand new hospital as well as a Wellness Centre with pool, ice arenas, bowling alley, and 2 swimming pools - is situated on the waterfront, with boardwalk, harbor, performance arts centre, curling complex, yacht club, and Spinnakers Landing, an outdoor, waterfront entertainment and shopping area. Summerside's slogan is "the only thing we overlook is the water" and from the preceeding list that would appear to be so!

In addition to "brick and mortar" attractions, Summerside also can lay claim to be one of Canada's safe cities and a place where the island motto "the Gentle Island" isn't just a slogan, but a way of life. Summerside is a place where neighbors know neighbors taking the time of day to get to know their fellow citizens.

However for the retiree thinking of coming to Summerside to spend that time of their life when they have more time to peruse interests other than career, it is important that they have the income to make their dreams come true. Your retirement income can go further in Summerside!

The primary difference living in Summerside, if you are moving from a larger city, is the difference in property values. Summerside homes would easily be half or less the value of comparable homes in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver. Even if you live in rural Canada, in most cases you could sell your pre-retirement property and purchase here in Summerside and realize a large cash difference. Obviously this cash would add very nicely to your existing retirement financial plan and provide a better lifestyle or a longer retirement picture.

Summerside homes categorize into three distinctly different groups. There are the heritage homes, large multi-bedroom homes that were built in the city centre by the founding fathers. These were largely capitalists of the early 19th century and many were a part of the then prosperous fox industry. The fox industry is of course long since a thing of the past (although in the country there are still many wild foxes) but the homes these titans built are still standing proud. Many of these have been converted to apartments, used as offices, or thriving Bed & Breakfasts. You can purchase the existing single family heritage homes for 2 to 3 hundred thousand, many with incredible architecture and the potential for income as well as providing a worthy residence. These homes in other Canadian or American cities would be priced at 800 thousand upward to one million dollars.

At the other extreme of the scale there are many smaller homes, referred to as "starter homes" but could just as easily be retirement properties. These are priced under 100 thousand dollars and many are in the fifty thousand to sixty thousand range. They are smaller homes on smaller lots but have the advantage of being city centre and close to all amenities. There really isnt a need for a car within the city as much is within walking distance and otherwise taxis are inexpensive.

The third category encompasses much which is priced between these two extremes and this group comprises new townhouses, many new or newer single family homes and older homes which have character but not the size or the larger lots associated with the heritage homes. Most people can easily find a home to their taste in this group in the one to two hundred thousand dollar range and these homes all represent similar homes in other North American cities in the two to five hundred thousand range.

Whatever your taste and budget you will find a home in Summerside comparable to what you own now at a fraction of the cost, not just to purchase but also in terms of taxes. Contact a local Summerside realtor and you can be on your way to a better, more prosperous retirement years

Golfing on the Beautiful Courses of Turkey

Author: Grahame Simpson

When we think of golf, probably Turkey is the last place that comes to our mind. But if you go back in history, you will find that golf has been around in Turkey since 1895.

As the number of people visiting Turkey has gone up dramatically in the last few years, golf architects have come up with the idea of designing some of the most excellent golf courses in the world.

One activity people enjoy during their vacation is playing golf and with tourism looking upwards in Turkey this is a wonderful way forward.

It has become difficult to choose where to play, as numerous world class golf courses have mushroomed in Turkey.

Turkey is situated on the Mediterranean, in the Anatolian region of West Asia. It is a small section of Mediterranean Europe alienated by the Turkish Straits. The country is a vivacious blend of the distant past and a dominating presence of the sea. Flowing from the Northwest through Istanbul, The Bosporus divides Europe from Asia as it merges with Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea. This creates breathtaking panorama in the region. The magnificence of Turkey evokes unusual warmth that is soaked in timeless traditions and an aspiration to travel.

This exotic land, athwart with spectacular cloud covered mountains, breathtaking valleys, moorland and plateaus, is embossed with the permanent mark of the imprint of the Ottomans and Romans with the numerous gratuitous wars.

Turkey is a live museum with more antiquities than any other place. It will overwhelm you with numerous ruined temples, medieval castles and Islamic architecture. The region is inundated with ceramics, sculpture and sacred frescoes. They shape an exotic reflection of the culture and its people. You can see hooded women and mustachioed men going about their daily routine.

Markets here are bustling with fascinating products sold by the most hospitable populace this side of Ireland. The land has turned people into ingenious fishermen, farmers, weavers and businessmen. In fact Turkey is among the very few countries that have surplus production of crops.

Antalya is the most important city on the Turkish Mediterranean coast, and is also the centre of the Turkish Riviera. Around half an hour from Antalya airport, the golfers will discover an amazing golfing sanctuary with four outstanding courses and option of marvelous five star hotels designed along the Mediterranean Sea.

Belek is the budding golf center of Turkey. In fact while designing the layout the golf architects pay a lot of attention to the expectations and preferences of European golfers.

Belek is an ideal place for golf courses with its long stretch of sandy golden beaches and untouched natural attractions. It has the perfect ambience for an exceptional game of relaxed golf with a spirit of competition.

Belek is becoming a contemporary luxurious holiday spot as a paradise for golfers with its summer season lasting for almost 8 to 9 months. The climate is typically Mediterranean with dry and hot summers and moderate and wet winters.

The sunshine can be enjoyed from April to October and visitors will find winters extremely pleasant.

Belek is one of the most famous places for the tourism industry in Turkey and is home to a plethora of luxurious hotels, entertainment and other services. When you are in Belek don’t miss the magnificent Kur?unlu Waterfall which has more than hundred species of bird nesting around it, with an intriguing hidden cave at the back. There are a number of other historic spots including, Aspendos the ancient amphitheater, which can hold almost 15.000 spectators.

The golf courses at Gloria and the Nobilis in Belek have hosted Turkish Seniors Open and have the European Seniors qualifying school. The best thing about all this is that Turkey offers, simply outstanding value for money.

Playing on the brilliant golf courses in Turkey is an experience at par with the other courses in the world. In fact golf has helped enhance Turkey's appeal as a winter-sun holiday destination. A country which was almost a stranger to the game of golf at one time is on the way to becoming one of the top golfing destinations by the next decade drawing both holidaymakers and astute golfers from all over the world.

If you thought Turkey was only about history and beaches better think again it will amaze you.

Travel to Manila, A Historical and Warm Place in the Southeast

Author: Nemanja Kuzmanovic

Southeast Asia is famous for its pristine beaches and delectable foods. If you are looking for these things in your vacation, then you may want to visit, Manila Philippines.

Manila is the capital of the Philippines. It is located in the largest island in the country, Luzon. Manila is a melting pot of cultures and is a beautiful fusion of tradition and advancement. After being placed under the Spanish regime for three hundred years, Manila still has some traits that are undeniably Western. This is easily observable in most of the city's architecture, particularly Intramuros.

Intramuros is considered as the city's oldest district, as it was put up by the Spaniards during their regime in the 1500s. It s characterized by high brick walls and bricked roads. Most of the area has been preserved up to now. In fact, some of the guards in the place still dress as the Guardia Sibil during the Spanish period. You can also explore the place riding horse-drawn carriages. Another historical value of this place is this is where Jose Rizal, the Philippines' national hero, was incarcerated at the end of the 19th century. Because the Philippines is the only predominantly Catholic nation in Asia, churches abound in the country. Two of the most famous and oldest churches in the Philippines can be found in Intramuros. These are the Manila Cathedral and San Agustin Church. Although it beams with history, Intramuros has been modernized little bit by the Department of Tourism by adding some fast food and fine dining restaurants.

If you like shopping, you will love Manila. You will be able to find just about anything-from high-end products to cheap buys-in this Philippine city. After all, the Philippines is home to three of the largest malls in the world. All of these malls are accessible from Manila and are just a one hour-drive away. These malls carry a variety of local and international shops and restaurants. If you are looking for cheap goods to take back home, then you can try Quiapo and Divisoria, two of the busiest Districts in Manila. In this places, you will be able to find good buys for less than $10.

If you plan to spend your trips to Manila in the beaches, there are a number of beautiful resorts in Manila's neighboring provinces Batanggas, Quezon and Ilocos. You may also want to try the world famous beaches of Boracay and Palawan, which are found in provinces south of Luzon.

Are you ready to take a trip on Manila? Well, here are some more things you have got to know. A number of airlines fly to Manila, which means you will not have any trouble booking a flight in this beautiful place in the Orient. Air France, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, Thai Air, Singapore Air, Korean Air, United Airlines, KLM, and Northwest Airlines can all access Manila through their flights. So what are you waiting for? Enjoy your travel to Manila as you experience its rich culture, and beautiful and hospitable people.

6 Great Tips to Find Cheap Airfare

Author: Rhea Tyler

Love to travel and plan trips frequently but are troubled by rising fuel prices and subsequent airfare hikes? If your answer to that question is yes, then read on for some sure shot ways to get the best deals and cheapest airfares available.

1. Prioritize your needs

Is finding the cheapest airfare the most important thing on your list? Are you willing to settle for fewer frills and have a clear idea of what you need and what you don't? Prioritizing your needs and preferences is the first step before you go 'cheap airfare hunting' and will help you compare and weigh options as well as know which tradeoffs you are willing to make more easily.

2. Select a multi stop flight

One of the easiest ways to get the cheapest airfare is selecting a multi stop flight. Airlines often offer lower fares for flights with multiple stopovers or connecting flights. If you are ok with stopping at several places before reaching your destination, then these flights can be a great way to cut down your travel expenses.

3. Timing your booking

If you plan to travel during peak vacation or peak travel periods, then planning your trip and booking early can help you save significantly. Most airfares generally become more expensive in the last few days before the travel date, so booking tickets early help during such periods.

On the other hand, sometimes booking last minute too can actually save you money. This typically happens when airlines are flying below their seated capacity and thus offer last minute deals to lure travelers and fill up their flights.

4. Shop around and compare airfare deals

There are a number of aggregator sites like http://www.cfares.com that allow you to search and compare cheap flights and exclusive deals across all sources including airlines, wholesalers, online travel agency sites and search engines and let you book tickets directly. A number of budget airlines that offer really cheap airfare and that are usually less accessible can be found through such sites.

5. Recognize a good deal and book instantly

If you see a great airfare deal, book it instantly. Special deals offered by airlines to pull in demand typically expire within a few days or even few hours at times.

6. Be flexible

Be sure to check out airfares from and to all of the airports near you or your destination.

Additionally, the day you book your tickets can determine the price you pay. Several airlines offer fare sales on specific days, usually Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In addition timing the days you fly can be as important as timing when you plan to book. Several airlines offer cheaper airfares for flights during the weekdays than during the weekends. So it is a good idea to check prices for different travel dates as experimenting with your itinerary can be the key to finding cheaper airfares.

With the abundance of information sites, tools and aggregator sites now available online, finding cheap airfares is no longer a bewildering and frustrating experience. While there is no magic formula, just doing your homework and following these tips can help you find some of the best deals available online.

Cheap Flights Bookings to India

Author: Gaurav Sharma

The Taj Mahal, for instance, is one of the biggest tourist attractions in India, as well as in that part of the world. It is one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture as well as the architecture of the South Indian area. This is one of the most visited sites in India. Because of the many different ethnic groups that have had a hand in the history and shaping of the country, most of the tourist attractions and important sites are multicultural.

Tourism

One reason that you might want to book a flight to India is for tourism. Tourism is one of the biggest industries in India, and there are numerous interesting sites you might want to visit while in India.

Music is another important aspect of Indian tourism, and could be one of the main reasons to book a flight to India. The music in India incorporates a wide diversity of regional styles and ethnic traditions. For instance, the north Indian Hindustani and the South Indian Carnatic traditions blend together to form the classical music styles that you will most often hear in India. However, there is also film, folk, and popular music.

Dance is another important aspect of tourism. Here too, there is a wide range of various traditions and styles, similar to the way that music is portrayed. The literature of India is another important aspect of tourism, and there are many different cultural festivals that revolve around singing, dancing, and the great writers of the area. Many poets, authors, artists, and philosophers were born in India.

History

Another reason why a person might take a flight to India is to look at various historical sites. For instance, the Amba Vials Palace at Mysore is one of the largest centers of fine arts in all of India. Another area in India that is visited frequently by tourists and backpackers is Bollywood. Bollywood, located in Bombay, is a major site of film history. Films have been produced here since the early 20th century. Today, there are a number of theaters and cinemas that are located throughout India. There are several notable ones as well, including the largest IMAX Theater in the world.

New Delhi is also an important area in India because of its fascinating history. Delhi itself is a city that is split into two. Old Delhi is one of the oldest cities in the world, and is one of the few cities that has been inhabited continuously since early civilization. It reflects the ancient history of India and the surrounding area - complete with ancient walls, trading routes, and other archeological sites. New Delhi, on the other hand, is a fairly new city in terms of historical significance, built during the British Raj. This city, as a result, has a history that is completely different, and completely at the other end of the historical spectrum. Delhi itself is one of the main places where a flight to India might take you.

The countryside in India also attracts a lot of tourist interest because of its historical significance. Many rural areas have not changed very little for 100 of years. However, if you are taking a flight to India, you should make sure that you have a guide available if you plan on going into the countryside. Quite often, traveling out of the cities can be extremely difficult for tourists who don’t know the area.

Religion

Religion is another reason why people may take a flight to India. In fact, religion plays an important part in the culture of India. There are many different religious or spiritual sites all over India. For instance, in Bombay, there are many sites, such as the Golden Temple, which are very important to the Sikh religion. There are also a number of Hindu temples all around the area.

One of the reasons that religion is an important aspect for visitors is that each religion has its own temples and sites. Part of the reason that religion in India is such a major draw for tourists and historians is that it is very old. There have been people living in this area of the world for almost as long as history itself has been written. Because of this, many of the foundations of the important religious ideals were made in this area. The historical significance of religion in India has become one of the biggest draws for tourists from around the world.

My Experience at a Natural Therapy Healing Center in the Philippines

Author: Marivir R. Montebon

I recently experienced a revolution. But it was not a bloody revolution. Rather it was an internal revolution experienced during my stay at a natural therapy healing center in Cebu, Philippines.

This is a health revolution I am talking about, a completely new way to keep myself healthy in the most natural sense of the word. It was definitely one of the best decisions I made in my life.

When my daughter spent her usual summer vacation in Larena (my Mom's hometown in the island of Siquijor), I figured it was the only time I would be able to undergo the natural therapies this year. For practical and professional reasons, and for curiosity's sake, I decided to go for the 10-day regimen.

The Ananda Marga Wellness Center in Green View Subdivision in Pagsabungan, Mandaue in Cebu is a comfortable dome-shaped house, fully carpeted with 22 rooms, including an art room, meditation room (also called cave), and a media room, a huge exercise room, and a garden. Its design is so well-planned to harmonize all physical, mental, and spiritual activities that promote our well-being. Upon entering the house, there is immediately this positive feeling of ease.

One can choose to learn about heathy and happy lifestyles through the Wellness Center in the most urgent of times - now. We do not have to wait for a debilitating disease in order to do a reversal of our unhealthy ways of living. It is better to be pro-active.

As a journalist who writes extensively on environmental issues, believing in natural ways of health care is a given. Experiencing the natural holistic health program of Ananda Marga was thus a major undertaking in my personal and professional life. A 10-day regimen is only a short one for those who are not seriously sick and only want a detoxification process.

I thought it was exciting and enjoyable to experience the mud pack treatment as well as the sun bathing. Done systematically in the early morning so that the sun is not yet so fiercely shining, the treatments are thus healthful to the skin. Oil and water massage were applied locally and generally on the body to gain best results.

Mud and sunshine are two natural elements that detoxify the skin which make the treatments necessary, more than just being an act of vanity, as what commercial health centers have somehow impressed.

These therapies are quite popular in commercial spas and I thought they are truly a luxury. Having experienced these treatments easily made me feel pampered. Of course, that was the immediate psychic reward.

The daily exercises (yoga asanas) which were done in the mornings were a good way to start my day. These posture exercises were soothing and rejuvenating, and immediately at the outset, detoxified my skin because of the sweat that is emitted by doing the exercises.

The asanas have however more value than just skin detox. They correct hormonal imbalance thereby enabling the body to cure itself of whatever malfunction or disease it has. The yoga was complimented with

My food was pleasurable and prepared in accordance with my health condition and in compliance with the detox process. I had purely fruits and vegetables for the first three days and fresh fruit juices for the next seven days.

Honestly, I dreaded thinking of the seven-day fruit juices diet. I have never done fasting in my life. Not once did I deliberately starve myself even for just a few hours, despite personal problems or enormous work load. Many times I thought of asking if I can just postpone my fasting.

But then, like a brave soldier conquering one's fear, I marched through the days of just taking liquid food. And to my surprise, I did not feel weak. Although I felt very hungry and salivating at the thought of all my favorite food, I had to shot off my brain from making fuss. After gulping a huge jar of buko juice, or at times apple juice, or melon juice, or pipino mixed with melon juice, I was full and all right.

What made me intact and able to sustain were the detox powder and capsules I took along with the fruit juices. Without these, I doubt if I would have finished my fasting without fainting. The powder and capsules were essentially food and cleaners of the colon.

There were many other treatments that immediately made me feel good after experiencing them - the hot foot bath, steam bath, and hip bath.

But the best detox was colema, a painless method of cleaning the colon. That really made me cleansed from the inside and each time was a truly liberating experience! It was a relief to see that I have at last released the very ugly stuff I have been harboring for a long time!

I also went through art therapy sessions that was psychologically helpful. My own art work revealed my present concerns and state of mind. In a way, it served as a mirror of my current state of being, both consciously and unconsciously. The experience was a reaffirmation that art is indeed a powerful tool for self-understanding and realization.

Finally, the meditation sessions. For so many times that I sat down and closed my eyes to meditate, my mind wandered through all corners of the universe. There is always a mad scramble of thoughts in my head.

But I gradually learned to find the key to still my mind (after all the many sessions that I did) and to focus on a single beautiful thought. This beautiful thought, embedded inside me in silence, eradicated confusion, fear, and all the monsters in my mind.

Meditation is a style of thinking that teaches us to focus on our individuality and to discover that inside us there is an infinite reservoir of love that will nourish us to go through anything in life. It is a spiritual journey into oneself, regardless of his or her religious background.

My mind is amazing, if it is calm and quiet, it can naturally and effortlessly pick up from its own vastness the solutions to its concerns, both real or perceived.

Each time I open my eyes, I become increasingly calm and confident that anything in life can be handled well and beautifully. Through regular meditation, I can sense that I have developed the ability to focus on good thoughts, get inspired by these thoughts and try to maintain a cheerful disposition.

The greatest lesson I learned in my 10-day regimen at the Wellness Center could be said in one statement - my happiness and good health begin and depend on me, primarily, and ultimately. It is a choice I gladly

undertake now.

A yacht charter can be hired on a chartered basis by the private parties going on a travel to the exotic islands of the Caribbean, as well as the British Virgin Islands.

The Caribbean offer various types of yacht charters such as bareboat charter, corporate yacht charter, luxury yacht charter and crewed yacht charter. Among the bareboat charter and the crewed yacht charters, there are three sub categories such as monohull charter, catamaran charter and motor yacht charter. Depending upon the size of the travel party or the members of the team, the type of charter vehicle that might be needed can be decided. The yacht charter comes with a dedicated crew service to help in guiding the tourists to the various exotic locations in addition to cooking and serving the members of the travel team.

After having decided to have yacht charter as the next mode of travel for Caribbean islands, and also finalizing the type of yacht charter, then comes the decision as to the timing of the travel to the islands.

What is the ideal time to visit the Caribbean islands for a yacht charter? Typically the season between September to November in the calendar year is the time to avoid visiting this exotic location as the seas will be very dangerous and the possibility of hurricanes and floods is more in this part of the world during that period.

The ideal time to visit the Caribbean islands and plan a yacht charter is between December and April. Even among these 5 months, the months of February and March are the best and the demand for all types of yacht charters will be very high during this period. It is for this reason that travel plans should be finalized about 3 to 6 months in advance and bookings for the charter are made well in advance.

The period between May to August and part of November is also ideal for booking a yacht charter, but the traffic will be relatively less and the demand for yachts will be just above normal.

Another salient feature of the Caribbean islands that makes it just the ideal destination for yacht charter is the tropical climate across most parts of the region. The temperature across the region does not show major variations in the temperature level, with maximum temperature of 280 Celsius in the months of July and August and a temperature of 240 Celsius in the months of January and February. However, there might be minor variation in the local temperature taking into consideration the elevation of the land above the sea level, trade winds in the region and the water currents in the sea.

The primary language across the Caribbean islands is English and as such should not be a major problem for the visitors to this exotic travel destination.

Legoland California and Explore Village is on the Path to Adventure

Author: Bronnie Vaughn

As you make your way from The Beginning and Dino Island at the Legoland California amusement park you and the kids will find yourself at Explore Village. There is a lot to do here and is the place where the younger children will find adventures and rides more suited to them. A good way to start the Explore Villageadventure is to take a ride down Fairy Tale Brook in a leaf shaped boat. Also, they will surely want to go on the African themed Safari Trek and see life sized Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras and other African animals, made entirely of Lego toy building bricks.

After the Safari Trek ride you’ll probably want to visit the Studio Store and pick up some souvenirs such as toys and t-shirts. You may want to pick up some spare batteries for your camera too! The kids are still ready to go but you may need a short break and want to get off you feet for little while. The perfect place for this would be the Playtown Theatre where you can watch the 25 minute musical presentation Journey to the Lost Temple. Unless you’re one of the 30 or more volunteers picked from the audience! From the theater it’s just a short way to the Ristorante Brickolini for a well deserved, and very tasty, meal. Brick fired pizza, pasta, salads, as well as kid and family meal combos and deals, are the specialties.

Now that you and the kids are fed and refreshed, it’s time to move on down the road to more adventures in Explore Village. Let the kids get a little wet at the Water Works where they can mix water with music at the Musical Fountain and play in the Rain Maker and on the Stomp and Spritz. Playtown is a great area for the youngsters as there are lots fun things to play on and explore. The Legoland Express has always been a favorite for the younger kids too. It’s a Lego train ride and is very reminiscent of the Lego toy trains.

You family has now made it through the first 3 areas of Legoland California; The Beginning, Dino Island, and Explore Village and you have plenty of adventures ahead of you. The next area you’ll be exploring is Fun Town and there is a lot of fun to be had there. You’ll want to spend some time in this popular area with it’s many fun and educational rides, attractions, and shows! The kids will be getting a Legoland Driver’s license, enrolling in the Fire Academy and going through the boating school. They will also become Legoland pilots in the Flight Squadron and Sky Patrol. There are many more fun attractions at Fun Town as well. Talk about adventure!

As we all know Legoland is not just about rides and adventures. There are areas set aside for the kids to just play and build with the famous Lego bricks and blocks. Master Lego Builders and Designers are always at work building bigger and better scenes for viewing. Legoland California is indeed the place for family fun and entertainment.

Windsurfers Escape to the Sun in Tenerife

Windsurfers Escape to the Sun in Tenerife

Author: Dan Williams

You would be amazed how easy is it to escape a dreary UK winter and spend some time under the warm rays of the Mediterranean sun. Picture this, it's Thursday lunchtime, you turn off your computer in the office, say goodbye to your colleagues, pick up your rucksack and board bag and take a short cab ride to the station. An hour relaxing on the train, reading the newspaper and you're at the airport and starting to feel that holiday tingle in your bones. Another hour relaxing in the coffee bar in Departures and before you know it the plane is taking off through the cloud and drizzle of a typical January day in England.

Just over three hours later you are looking down from a cloudless sky onto an island fringed by a mix of beaches with a dramatic inland volcanic mountain area. Your flight to Tenerife is almost over and you're about to start the best winter long weekend you've ever experienced. Disembarking the plane and passing through customs of Reina Sofia airport is a quick and painless affair and, after a short 10 minute coach ride from Tenerife's southern airport, you are sitting on the terrace of your hotel, sipping a well deserved cocktail, overlooking El Médano, the best windsurfing beach on Tenerife.

This all seems light years away from the day-to-day grind you left behind earlier in the day but this really is reality and with the number of cheap flights available to Tenerife at the moment, this lifestyle, normally associated with the rich and famous, could easily be yours with flight deals costing less than the average price of a family trip to the local Pizza restaurant.

Companies like FlyThomasCook, who fly to Tenerife from at least 7 UK airports, specialize in low cost tickets and have a wide choice of options for getting to Tenerife and the other Canary Islands, for very reasonable fares. Granted the exchange rate at the moment gets you fewer euros than last year, but daily rates for accommodation are very affordable at the moment and the total cost of your long weekend in the sun will probably surprise you.

After a pleasant evening watching the sun go down and getting to know your fellow surfers over a convivial drink, it's off to bed for a good night's sleep in preparation for the early start the next day to make the most of your time on the Island.

Waking early to mild temperatures, a fresh onshore breeze and a hearty breakfast, the perfect start to a windsurfing day beckons and it's a short walk to the South Bay where the Official Test Centre opens it's doors to welcome you to a myriad of the latest windsurfing gear. Experts are on hand to fit you to the equipment you need. With over 50 boards and 100 sails, all the latest models, everyone is sure to find exactly what they need. The centre receives the full support of the local community, many of whom rely on windsurfing visitors for trade. After resolving a recent difficulty with the local council the Centre has opened its doors to the 2009 season. Tourism is the backbone of the economy in Tenerife and although local laws are in place to prevent any harm coming to the island, anything that gets in the way of tourism is quickly evaluated and corrected.

So you're now out in the Bay, the seas are perfect, the water is a pleasant temperature and there is enough of a swell to test the most adventurous wave jumpers. It really is a perfect tonic to the drab winters of Northern Europe and with a long weekend visit to Tenerife costing very little at this time of year, there is really no reason not to try it. Book your ticket, grab your luggage and get on a flight yourself.
